A Big Surprise

You can’t even imagine my surprise to find myself back in the hospital again last week – this time with a whopping big kidney stone the size of a dime!
Thank goodness for modern methods – I’m out already and trying to be good by staying horizontal – grrr – I was just feeling like my old self again, and wham!
Needless to say, I’ve been doing a bunch of tapping – on the pain, on the drugs (getting them out of my system using Stacey’s protocols*), and especially on the energy of surprises that shock me. I looked back in my life and saw that there were a myriad of times when things just fell out of the blue and blasted me beyond the outfield. So I’ve been tapping on not attracting *that* anymore.
What kind of patterns do you draw to yourself? Shocks? Traumas? Disasters? Slowly-sneaking- up-on-you stuff? You can tap for all of that!
I had a pretty cool experience as I was on the gurney waiting to go into the operating room. I was crying silently (don’t want to make a fuss, now, do we, Angela?!?), feeling alone and miserable. But I also found myself laughing at that don’t-want-to-make-a-fuss part, because do I care about making a fuss?? No!
And I also asked where the misery was coming from, because I actually felt pretty lucky to have had such amazing support from folks – both friends and the nurses and hospital staff – and to simply be alive.
There were a few possible sources of that misery. I could have been channeling the misery of folks in the hospital. Maybe I was feeling my own past miseries. I could have been feeling…but who cared where it came from!?! I didn’t! All I knew was that I didn’t want to feel that way anymore.
Then I remembered the little prayer my dear friend, Rebecca Marina, had me visualize the night before when we were talking on the phone. She had me picture myself in the arms of The Mother, safe, comfy, taken care of, and loved and whole.
So I decided to try on happiness, even though once again I was going into the OR, and even though I’d be in pain for a while afterwards. Well, I was alive, and I would live through this, and I would still be doing my life work, right? What would NOT being happy get me, except more not being happy? Why NOT be happy?
As soon as I imagined being happy in the arms of The Mother, I really WAS happy, and could feel it right to my bones.
The doc came to get me right then, so it was perfect timing. And I came out of the surgery into the recovery room to meet a nurse who was like Instant Sister.
Why do I tell you all this?
Because to me, it all fits in with what I’ve been saying all along – we must must must develop a MindSet of Steel that won’t falter or fail us when we most need it. I almost faltered, but ended up feeling pretty darn good.
I recommend using Rebecca’s sweet Mother visualization – no great psychedelic colors or anything – just a feeling of sweetness, being loved and accepted and cared for, no matter what. And choosing happiness.
I’ll have some more cool stuff for you as soon as I can sit up longer – it won’t take so long this time!
