Cascade Tapping – Make it Simple!
By admin on Feb 28, 2009 in - EFT -, - Energy Work -
This is for those of you who work with or use EFT, the Emotional Freedom Techniques. If you have no interest in that, don’t read it!
But for those who use EFT, this will be of use to you.
This last week, my article on Cascade Tapping came out in EFT founder Gary Craig’s newsletter. It’s great to be published in it, and I appreciate it a lot to be able to reach more people.
However, I was really dismayed to find that my article had been reformatted to add the words, “even though” in front of each setup phrase. The new version, unfortunately, now didn’t get across the essence of the process as I had intended it originally.
If you go to the Cascade Tapping Article I wrote HERE, you will find it the way I originally wrote and intended it – without all those even thoughs! If you had to say “even though” before each of those phrases, I think you’d go nuts with boredom!
1. People commented that in my Cascade Tapping process, there “seemed like a lot of tapping.”
When the formatting in the article was altered to place an “even though” in front of each phrase, it completely changed the rhythm of the process, which then became ponderous and tedious.
If you take each “even though” phrase and do a round on it, yes, it would be a monstrous amount of tapping. Those phrases are meant to be stream-of- consciousness-type phrases, with the “I accept myself” phrase thrown in every several statements. That way, there’s more of a saying-how-I-feel bunch of phrases rather than doing a full round per statement.
2. Tapping between the points
If you sat there and tapped the full 5 to 7 times on each step in between the points, yes, you’d tap yourself insane!
In Cascade Tapping, you start at one point and tap rapidly in 5 to 7 increments to the next. It’s exactly the same amount of tapping that way.
3. Where to go after the liver point?
You can either go from the liver point (on the edge of the ribs directly under the nipple) directly up the center of the body to the top of the head; or to slapping your wrists together and then back to the top of the head.
Please don’t make something so simple into something too complex to use!
Instead of tapping on one point and jumping over to the next, all you’re doing is steppping over to the next point in little increments. That’s all! Nothing else changes!
Have fun with it -
aloha -
