I’m going to share a big secret with you today about something I’ve started up.

And no, it’s not a sordid, dark awful secret! It is, rather, something scary/exciting that involves stretching waaaaaay beyond my little-old stay-comfy coach-artist-writer-EFT-practitioner self.

I feel particularly vulnerable, because this is something dear to my heart and I don’t usually talk about things this big before I do them because I like to conserve the energy I’ll be using for the new thing, whatever it might be.

I also prefer not to trigger well-meaning but very discouraging “you can’t do it” comments and admonishments from those who don’t think they themselves could do it, so why did I think I could?

I decided a long time ago to stay quiet and do “it” while they were running around hawking all the reasons why “it” wasn’t possible.

But since you are not them, and you are an upbeat, inspired and an action-taking kinda person, I felt that if I told you, you might:
•   be inspired to jump to another level of living your own passion, too
•   send me mental and moral support and -
•   what would be utterly splendid, maybe you’d even jump on the opportunity I decided to jump on, myself, yesterday.

As I said, I usually keep what I’m about to do close to my chest. I’m acknowledging that it’s partly an old survival tactic, and I think it’s about time to shuck it.

No, neither they, my work nor I are known beyond the world of EFTers or a small circle of artists, galleries and collectors.

Now, why on earth would I (or anyone else) want to go through what I’m thinking is a very time and energy-intensive, full-on campaign to get one of my books to the top of amazon.com – even if it’s only for an hour?

•  Because I have a message, and want to share it on a bigger scale.
•  Because when you get best-seller ranking, all kinds of possibilities open up. People seek you out for speaking, interviews, seminars and other opportunities to share your work.
•  Because it will mean an increase in visibility and sales.
•  Because I get to have an adventure and learn something new and exciting

And because
•  I get to meet other authors on the course and in the exclusive forum
•  I get to learn a system from someone who’s been there, done-that, herself, and helped others do it successfully
•  I can then repeat (and improve) what I did as many times as I want, and
•  Because it will be just plain fun!

Now, could I have just gone about doing a campaign by myself?

Sure. I probably know and use a good percentage of the tips and tactics I will hear in the 4-week course.

However, what turns me on about this course is that I get:
•  how to connect with the people who will help make my campaign possible
•   support materials that, if I created them, I’d most likely spend a couple years perfecting, modifying and testing before they really work well. Why do that when it’s already done for me?

What I would really love and appreciate so much would be for anyone out there who is thinking anything unsupportive to see where you have been told the same words you’re thinking now, and turn them into supportive thoughts for yourself. And me!
