It's Up to You and Me to Imagine

Every once in a while, something gets stuck in my subconscious and all night I have these scary, surreal or just simply silly dreams.
Last night I was in England in the mid-1600s, the internet was down and the economy was tanking….
Upon awakening, I could easily see that my own thoughts were being overlaid by those of the media, friends, clients and others I’ve heard say they were scared of what’s going on.
The mid-1600s? Well, who knows?
I do know this: This is my life and I get to decide what to feel, think and act upon. No one else decides that for me.
So I decide this: despite the panic that seems to have set in (so deeply people are stockpiling food in Europe!), I’m strengthening and deliberately focusing on the step-by-step actions I take all day every day to keep my dream world alive and happening.
Because it’s up to us–each one of us–to create our own individual great worlds so that, as we merge in public, at schools, work and meetings, our worlds can overlap and get bigger.
It’s up to us to keep focused on what we want, not on what we don’t want, are afraid of or think is bad. Remember? What you focus on grows!
Do you remember when Joe Vitale asked people to concentrate, pray and focus on the hurricane over Texas last year–and it moved?
What’s to stop us from focusing on a fantastic financial reality–and creating it through our concentrated prayers, thoughts and actions?
I really mean it when I say it’s up to us–not the gov, not the neighbors, not your parents, not anyone but you and me. If we want a world we like, we need to build it. The first building block is our feelings. Thoughts and actions come next–over and over.
I spoke with a client this morning who said she was playing a game on the internet because she was so freaked. Know what I said to her? The same thing I’d tell you: take one baby step out of where you are now.
Move your body. Get UP, walk around, and focus on something you love. Period.
Focus on what you love. Period.
Focus on what you love. PERIOD.
Do I have to say it again?
In case you’re thinking this 700-billion buy-out thing and the economy right now is the financial ruin of all financial ruinations, read this blog post by Craig Perrine, one of Joe Vitale’s mastermind group. Here’s a short excerpt from his blog at maverickmarketer.com/blog/
“Napoleon Hill didn’t write, ‘Worry and Grow Rich’, did he?
“However, the doomsayers predict doom almost every day it and the media seems eerily cheerful in reporting on anything negative that happens around the world in real time, 24 hours a day year round.”
and…
“Model what successful people and companies are doing (no big surprise there).
“Look to what’s working and use that as your guide… not the nit wits in the news (they’d have you believe EVERYONE is failing).
“If you can, get a change of scene.
“Isolation is a bad idea when you are struggling.”
If you feel freaked out, the first and best thing to do is start moving your body. Get up if you’re sitting down. Walk around, jump up and down, bend over, whatever it takes to start the energy moving in your body again. Don’t let it get stuck, because then you feel stuck.
Focus on one thing that will give you pleasure. It can be a little bitty teeny tiny thing, but it needs to give you pleasure–please-you-r.
That’ll start the vibes cranking. Then keep going, continuing to create pleasure. Tap lightly on your collarbone to keep calm.
Please, PLEASE, focus on what you love, want and gives you pleasure and happiness, and stop focusing on the scary. OK?
