What Are You Creating Today?

In the past couple days, I’ve talked to a whole lot of people who have all said the same thing: I feel so strange, like I’m out of energy, or angrier than I’ve ever been, or numb, or depressed. If this is what you, too, are feeling, remember that it’s not just you–it’s all the energy around you, too.
I see it like this: we are little pieces of driftwood floating down Life’s River.
Sometimes we get caught in the Rapids or the Whirlpool or going over the Waterfall, and it feels exciting or terrifying (or whatever word you want to use to identify the feeling you’re feeling).
But it’s more than you–the energy of Life is all around you, and you’re feeling your part of it.
There’s a great way to disengage with what’s bigger than you so you can handle what IS you. Try this:
Instead of saying “I’m mad,” try this: say “I feel a whole lot of anger today!” Then see if the energy you feel is really anger, and if it really does belong to you.
This allows you to disengage with the bigger stuff. If you really do feel a feeling you would prefer to change, think how you’d rather feel, and remove the blocks to feeling great in the moment by tapping on it until you get back to feeling great.

My friend, Eleanor Haspel-Portner at NobleSciences.com told me today that the energies are strange today.
To my mind, it really doesn’t matter whether the energies are called good, bad or indifferent. What matters are the *responses* we make to the flow of the energies around us.
You could be feeling weird, angry, upset, terrified, sad, hopeless, excited, furious, enthusiastic or whatever.
In any case, the very most important thing is to remember your Deepest Heart Dream! And keep aligning with it, keep aiming for it, and keeping it alive as best you can.
Instead of saying, “I’m so mad! (sad, whatever),” ask yourself, “what is one small step I can take that moves my Mind back to (or to continue) creating, my Dream?”
Then ask, “what is the next small step I can take right-now-today-this-second to keep creating that Dream?”
And the next, and the next and the next.
That way, no matter what Rapids or Waterfall or Whirlpool or Smooth Sailing part of the River you’re in, feeling or experiencing, you’ll still be choosing, you’ll still be creating your Dream.
Because in the end, no matter how we interpret the energy of the day or the activities or experiences we have during that day, what is most important is whether or not we keep a steady hand on the steering wheel of our Dreams.
Let any hysteria about the economy or the market or the elections or the war or family BS or ANYTHING outside of yourself flow on by. Don’t allow any of it to distract you or get in your Dream’s path.
What is your Dream? What is it your deepest soul, your heart, your inner being needs in order to feel like you have fulfilled your potentiality today, the next and the next?
It’s not a destination. It’s a continual path with continual distractions, delights and dangers. How are you walking on YOUR path today? Will you go to bed happy with yourself? I hope so–it’s my Dream that you live yours.
